Little things that mean a lot

As TUAW already pointed out, it's sometimes the little things that stand out. Snow Leopard, iTunes 9 and iPhone OS 3.1 haven't that huge wow-features, but a hell a lot of little enhancements, UI tweaks and goodies.
For me, one this things is definitely the ability to copy and paste in my iPhones keypad!

New iPods on the way... Probably not this one...

This piece of art features a loudspeaker and some creapy shuffle rip off graphics on the package. What would you say? Deal or no deal?

Found on an electronic market in Beijing.

Google Music China totally rocks!

Google.cn has a neat little service up and running called Google Music China. Google arranged to cooperate with the worlds major labels to offer thousands of songs for free (financed through ads). Streaming aswell as downloading is possible and working like a charm. Guess I need a bit extra storage until I go back to Germany... ;-)
The only downturn is kind of a little translation problem here... But trial-and-error does a pretty good job..

Getting a prepaid SIM in China...

...isn't that easy. There are good numbers and bad numbers. For example 4 is really bad. That's why pricing depends on the actual phone number and ranges from 40 RMB to 350 RMB (4 - 35 Euro).
I got great support by our HR person and after 10 minutes we had a compromising decision and took a 60 RMB SIM with which I'm absolutely pleased until now.

Let's see... A posterous iPhone App!

As hinted from Techcrunchs Robin Wauters, posterous iPhone App has just been approoved and released in the AppStore. Due to posterous splendid integration of Posting-by-eMail, I didn't excactly miss a separat app.. Although the ability to manage albums after posting them is quite nice, the feature set of the app is pretty limited at this time. I'll be probably sticking with posting things via mail until an update is in sight.

Give it a shot, here!

GMail rolls out custom SMTP support

Generally being a big friend of GMail, I have always been annoyed by the inconvenience of using my own domains with it. Today, Google rolled out the posibility to use your own SMTP-Server which lets you get rid of those quirky sent-by: googlemail.com tags in your email headers.

It is as easy as going to Settings -> Accounts -> edit info and proceeding happily with all the flexibility you love!
